My creation, the Rose Covered Glasses, embodies the tendency to view romantic partners through a distorted lens, often failing to perceive their true nature. I delved into memories and emotions evoked by past romantic encounters, translating them into a series of posters about modern dating.

Photographed by myself.
Modelled by my sister, Soha Mehta.

THE PROCESS

This project started off with the brief “Create a Useless Object”. I wanted to create glasses that you couldn’t see out of. Using the glasses as my frame, I took the concept of “Rose Covered Glasses” literally while crafting this piece.

I wanted to observe the way a rose wilts, similar to how the illusion of someone disappears slowly as you fall out of love with them.

ROUND 1: POSTERS

The handwriting is my handwriting and it reflects the personal nature of this piece.

I photographed the object at my home in Mumbai using my sister, Soha Mehta as the model.
